Vh1 Supersonic‘s announcement of Macklemore as the second headliner of the festival was met with a lot of enthusiasm from the ‘Drug Dealer‘ hitmaker’s fans. Set to make his debut in India in February, Macklemore’s appearance at Vh1 Supersonic will give India’s own flourishing hip hop scene another boost.
DesiHipHop.com, an online music portal dedicated to empowering the Hip-Hop movement in South Asian communities globally, has made a tribute video for Macklemore & Ryan Lewis‘ Grammy winning single ‘Thrift Shop‘. Shot in Mumbai, the video serves as the perfect homage for the original video, which holds somewhat of an iconic status today.
