Great News, You Can Finally Lean Against a Wall Like an Edgelord in World of Warcraft

Exciting New Features in World of Warcraft’s Latest Update

Earlier this week, World of Warcraft introduced an extensive new update, which brings a plethora of fresh content including several new dungeons, a new raid, a new exploration area, an abundance of narrative enhancements, a visually stunning new zone, and much more. However, amidst all these additions, one particular feature stands out for its charm and simplicity: the new capability for characters to lean against walls, exuding an aura of brooding or casual indifference, something players have long desired.

Introducing the /lean Emote

Indeed, the newest update, labeled 11.2 and titled Ghosts of K’aresh, incorporates a novel emote known as /lean. This emote allows characters to lean back casually against any available wall or structure. In cases where there is no support to lean against, characters will humorously lean in mid-air. While it may seem minor, this addition has quickly become a hit among players.

Enthusiasts within the community have even gone as far as to grade the /lean emote across different races and genders, creating a tier list that ranges from the stylish leans of Blood and Void elves in the S-tier to the less impressive, rigid postures of gnome males, draenei females, both male and female goblins and dracthyr, among others, which find themselves in D-tier. Additionally, players have discovered that the emote pairs amusingly with different in-game toys, allowing characters to perform tasks like checking a compass or drinking a beer in a relaxed manner.

Despite its playful nature, this new emote has been well-received, particularly by those who engage in role-playing within the game. Many players have been spotted leaning casually in the game’s capital cities, taking a break from their adventures. Personally, I am eager to use my C-tier tauren female emote to lean against the vivid purple walls of the new raid, Manaforge Omega, while enduring yet another explanation of raid mechanics.

What’s Next for World of Warcraft?

The Ghosts of K’aresh patch is available now, and players can look forward to exploring the new raid, Manaforge Omega, which opens next Tuesday. Although the launch of this patch has encountered a few glitches, the developers at Blizzard are diligently working to resolve these issues. This patch marks the conclusion of The War Within expansion, with the anticipation building for the next expansion, Midnight, expected to be unveiled at Gamescom later this month.
