Adventurous Escapes in Monster Hunter Wilds
The wild creatures in Monster Hunter Wilds are known for their deadly arsenal of attacks. However, some crafty players have discovered unique ways to evade these dangers, including the use of emotes as a dodging mechanism.
The Photo Pose Set Vol. 1, available for $3.99, introduces several new emotes to Monster Hunter Wilds, one of which is the Photo Pose: Vanish Sign. This particular emote has the ability to catapult your hunter into the air. One player used this to adeptly evade an attack in an unconventional yet effective manner.

This interaction provides a playful and possibly consistent method to avoid Mizutsune’s aquatic beam sweeps. While it appears to be effective only under specific conditions and with careful timing, it certainly adds an element of fun to the game.
Emotes and Their Quirky Uses
Using emotes to create unexpected outcomes is not a new concept in Monster Hunter. For instance, the inclusion of the Street Fighter Hadoken emote in Monster Hunter World led to some peculiar gameplay moments, inspiring one player to complete the entire game using only the Hadoken, eschewing traditional weapons entirely. Surely, Ryu would approve.
Similarly, the Dragoon Jump emote was cleverly integrated into the Behemoth encounter in World, offering players unique dodge opportunities. These interactions, although rare, are more about adding a touch of whimsy than providing a substantial gameplay advantage. Even though players might be disappointed that purchasing the pack is necessary to access these emotes, they do offer a delightful twist to the game’s mechanics.
Seasonal Festivities Abound
The Festival of Accord Blossomdance is currently in full swing, bringing new outfits, seasonal cuisine, and a flourish of cherry blossoms to the game’s hub. This event offers players fresh activities to engage in as they battle the monsters from Title Update 1 and look forward to the enhancements that will come with Title Update 2 this summer.
