After hearing Tommy Trash’s rework of Empire of the Sun’s Celebrate, we’re now treated to another Aussie’s take on it. None other than Hook N Sling, he’s combined a simple melodic tune from so many different influences. The percussions and horns used are bold and eclectic. This isn’t your usual generic progressive drop, looks like there’s a lot more brewing down under! Celebrate will hit stores on December 20th along with a remix from Tommy Trash.

Returning to Noida for its second edition Sunburn Noida 2013 proved to be a spectacular outing for many a dance music fan. With two stages packed with some of the worlds finest artists, the event was a roller-coaster ride from start to finish. Living up to the incredible hype surrounding the festival, the team at Sunburn had paid great attention to detail when it came to the production of the event and the enormous well-designed stages left many of us astonished at the magnificence of both the structures.
The stages and the overall astounding production was complimented perfectly by fantastic music. Each of the artists performing gave the crowd at the event, an entertaining set packed with several hits and left them begging for more. We at The Bangin Beats decided to give you a list of tracks to reminisce the madness once more.

Hook N Sling & Chris Willis – Magnet (Official Music Video)
Following up to a brand new dance anthem courtesy Australian DJ Hook N Sling, we now have the official music video to Magnet. Featuring the vocals of Chris Willis, this tune is perfect bigroom progression with Chris Willis vocals doing complete justice to the brainy sound production. Staying true to the name, the video entices us with a pretty shadow of a woman dancing, and seemingly being toyed with a magnet. Showing various magnets attracting various objects, this video is a brilliant concept, and has been produced magnificently. We’re definitely attracted to this one! Check it out below.
Krewella – Live For The Night (Hook N Sling Mix)
The Australian producer Hook N Sling has hooked and reeled it in, alright! Known for his remixes and collaborations with the likes of Nervo, he’s taken on the other femme fatale of EDM, namely the Chicago trio of Krewella. Remixing their track Live For The Night, from their upcoming Get Wet album, this Sydney beachboy has altered it entirely, and amazingly so.
Injecting an upbeat tempo, Hook N Sling inducts an entirely different build up to this tune. Not laying too much importance to the original vocals, he chooses to focus more on the progressions within the tune, all but leading into a massive drop. We quite like this remix, it’s always good to be different, for one. No word of a release date though, but you can preview this adrenaline-rush of a remix below.
Hook N Sling & Chris Willis – Magnet (Original Mix)
Hook N Sling, the producer from down under, best known for his sensational collaboration with Nervo (Read: Reason) is back with another bomb this time! Called Magnet, we’re aptly attracted to this tune, good and proper. Using the vocals of Chris Willis (remember Guetta’s Getting Over You?) Hook N Sling has kicked off with a progressive-rock feel, but it soon evolves into an emotional chord change-up. A brilliant melodious drop, all the while accompanied with fabulous vocals courtesy Willis, makes this track a soulful progressive anthem. Hook N Sling & Chris Willis – Magnet (Original Mix) [Preview]
The Aussie DJ/Producer Hook N Sling is here with a brand new track called ‘Magnet’ forthcoming on Spinnin’ Records. He collaborates with the gospel singer ‘Chris Willis‘ for this track, who is best known for his work with David Guetta. We can easily judge from this short preview that Magnet will definitely be a massive hit. The cheesy lovable vocals of Chris along with Hook N Sling’s crisp chord play and a melodic drop makes this a perfect progressive anthem. Slated to be out on August 9th, do watch out for it.
NERVO and Hook N Sling – Reason (ROT Remix)
NERVO and Hook N Sling’s smash hit ‘Reason‘ was an unquestionable anthem during the summer of 2012 and the trio required aspiring bedroom producers to take a swing at remixing this festival favorite. Hundreds tried their hand at improving the unblemished production and ROT (Republic of Trash) came away successful with a People’s Choice nod from Talenthouse and support from the three Australians.
Much more energetic and intense than the original, ROT’s approach confers new life into Liv and Mim’s stunning vocal output and a gut-punching kick drum. It did some justice to the song, however we feel original is still much better.
