Rank 1 – Floorlifter (Original Mix) [Release]
Dutch Trance duo Benno De Goeij & Piet Bervoets, or Rank 1, as known to most, have released their Arena Smasher, “Floorlifter” today.
First previewed on their ASOT 600 Mumbai set, this one had everyone raging.
With such a catchy riff, its ultra bouncy at the start and it blends right into the saw sub-bass at the drop. Very Trousy, Very Dancy, Very Arena-ish, and definitely very unlike the usual Rank 1. Already having received mixed reactions from the EDM world, with half of them adverse to Rank 1′s new direction, and half receiving this release with immense approval.
Already having received immense support from acts like Above & Beyond, Armin Van Buuren and Ferry Corsten, this one’s definitely has done it’s job by sheer definition. This one will definitely get you dancing, and how. The hook hasn’t gotten out of my mind since A State Of Trance 600 in March.

Rank 1 – Floorlifter (Original Mix) [Preview]
Netherland’s Trance favourites Rank 1 have just put up a preview of their latest production, “Floorlifter”, which they had first played at their A State Of Trance 600 Mumbai set, and it had the entire audience on their feet.
Right from the start of the preview, it’s got the catchiest synth stab hook I’ve heard in the longest time. You can feel how upbeat and dance-y this track is from the very start. Very much unlike Rank 1′s usual productions which are more along the lines of typical trance, this big room production is much more dancefloor and club friendly. The hook pulls up right to the the drop where-in the stabs get layered onto a very groovy bassline. This one’s bound to get you bouncing as soon as it’s dropped on any set. One could probably say, that this could be Rank 1′s attempt at flirting with the more trendy Trouse style of EDM.
