Sufjan Stevens Releases Unheard Demo from “Carrie & Lowell”
Sufjan Stevens has unveiled a previously unreleased demo track titled “Death With Dignity,” from his Carrie & Lowell album sessions. This track, along with six other additional tracks, will be featured in the upcoming deluxe edition of his 2015 album. You can listen to this new release below.
The deluxe edition, named Carrie & Lowell (10th Anniversary Edition), is set to be released on May 30 by Asthmatic Kitty. It will be accompanied by a 40-page booklet filled with photographs and an essay penned by Stevens himself. Recently, Stevens also released a demo for “Mystery of Love,” a song originally from the Carrie & Lowell sessions that was later included in the soundtrack for Luca Guadagnino’s 2017 movie Call Me by Your Name. Additionally, last year marked the 20th anniversary reissue of Stevens’ 2004 album Seven Swans.
