Get ready for action as Vin Diesel gears up for a significant comeback in “Fast and Furious 11.”
On a vibrant Saturday evening, Diesel, alongside fellow “Fast and Furious” stars Tyrese Gibson and Cody Walker, made an appearance at Fuel Fest in Pomona, California. This event draws car enthusiasts from all over. During his time on stage, Diesel excited the audience with details about what they can expect from the franchise’s concluding installment and shared that the film is slated for an April 2027 release.
“The studio approached me with a request for the final chapter of ‘Fast and Furious’ to premiere in April 2027,” Diesel explained. “I agreed, but on three conditions: First, the story must return to Los Angeles. Second, we need to focus again on car culture and street racing. Third, there must be a reunion between Dom and Brian O’Conner.”

There’s some ambiguity around Diesel’s mention of bringing Paul Walker’s character, a former police officer turned street racer, back into the storyline. Since Paul Walker passed away in a tragic car accident in 2013 at the age of 40, any inclusion would likely involve digital technology to recreate his appearance.
The most recent film, “Fast X,” hit theaters in May 2023 and saw impressive global earnings exceeding $700 million, despite a hefty $340 million production budget. The cast included Diesel, Alan Ritchson, Jason Momoa, Michelle Rodriguez, Rita Moreno, and Brie Larson, and the movie was promoted as the first of a two-part finale. With the extended wait until “Fast 11,” it remains to be seen whether it will directly continue the narrative set by “Fast X.”
