Netflix has just released the initial trailer for the second season of its live-action series One Piece, and has also confirmed that a third season is on the way.
Released during the annual One Piece Day festivities in Tokyo, the trailer offers a one-minute glimpse into the upcoming adventures of Monkey D. Luffy, portrayed by Iñaki Godoy, in the live-action adaptation. The second season is slated to premiere next year.
The preview of One Piece Season 2 showcases several scenes and characters adapted from Eiichiro Oda’s original manga. The trailer not only revisits well-known characters like Luffy, Nami (played by Emily Rudd), Usopp (Jacob Romero), and Roronoa Zoro (Mackenyu) but also introduces new characters such as Lera Abova as Nico Robin and Callum Kerr as Smoker.

Although the trailer, which is slightly over one minute long, reveals exciting new content, fans will still need to wait for a confirmed release date for Season 2. However, Netflix appears optimistic about the continuation of its journey into live-action anime, as evidenced by the announcement at the end of the trailer that the adventures of the Straw Hat Pirates will extend into Season 3 “soon.”
While the exact premiere date for One Piece Season 2 is still under wraps, it is anticipated to debut around 2026, which would be approximately three years after the series first launched. Consequently, further details on Season 3 might not be forthcoming anytime soon.
In the meantime, One Piece enthusiasts can view a collection of set photos from One Piece Season 2 that were released last year. Additionally, fans can get a sneak peek at the live-action version of Tony Tony Chopper before he appears in the upcoming season, and also explore our 6/10 review of the first season.
