‘Meet the Parents 4’ Officially Titled ‘Focker in-Law’

The fourth movie in the “Meet the Parents” series has been retitled to “Focker in-Law.”

The upcoming movie will see the return of Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro, Blythe Danner, Teri Polo, and Owen Wilson. Additionally, Ariana Grande is set to join the ensemble.

“Focker in-Law” alludes to the last name of Ben Stiller’s character, Greg Focker. In the debut film, he experiences numerous awkward situations when he meets his girlfriend’s parents for the first time. The original “Meet the Parents,” which just hit its 25th anniversary, was a major hit, garnering $330 million globally. The franchise continued with two more hits, “Meet the Fockers” in 2004 introducing Greg’s parents played by Barbra Streisand and Dustin Hoffman, and “Little Fockers” in 2010.

During a special 25th-anniversary screening of “Meet the Parents,” Stiller hinted at the upcoming sequel, mentioning that their return was motivated by a genuine narrative opportunity to revisit these beloved characters.

Stiller shared with the audience at the Tribeca Festival that he is now the age De Niro was during the filming of the original movie, reflecting a full-circle moment. He teased that the new storyline might involve one of his character’s children introducing their significant other to the family.

De Niro has read the new script and expressed his enthusiasm without divulging any specific details. “The script is a lot of fun,” he stated, looking forward to the production.

The audience will have to wait to catch “Focker in-Law” in theaters, which is scheduled for release on November 25, 2026.
