You Need To Check Out This Insane Indian Classical Cover Of ‘Despacito’

Luis Fonzi and Daddy Yankee‘s hit single ‘Despacito‘ has unarguably been one of the biggest tracks this year so far, and the remix featuring Justin Bieber has only elevated its position on charts globally. With countless remixes and cover versions available on multiple platforms, the single has seeped its way into pop culture quite easily, and now has received yet another stunning cover, but in a style that you would’ve never imagined.

Mahesh Raghvan, a UK based musician of Indian origin, got together with two fellow artists, Praveen Prathapan and Janan Sathiendran, to dish out a spectacular rendition of the hit single, re-imagined in Indian classical style. Reworked using Geoshred (a music production app for iPad), a flute and tabla, the cover gives the original a whole new flavor,  and we’re certainly not complaining.

Raghvan has previously covered tracks such as the Game of Thrones theme, Adele‘s ‘Hello‘, Drake’sHotline Bling‘ and many other tracks, giving them a wonderful carnatic makeover. Check out the cover here below.
