Having made a superb song together last year called ‘Parallel Lines’, A-Trak is back on remix duty for Phantogram’s ‘You Don’t Get Me High Anymore’. Topping up the perfect collaboration is Chicago rapper Joey Purp‘s appearance, who also jumps on the new single and adds a rap verse. Explaining why he loves working with Phantogram, A-Trak said:
What I love about Phantogram is that you can’t compare them to anyone. They do their own thing, on their own terms, and the music is amazing. It also helps that they are literally the nicest people I know. Last year we made a song together called ‘Parallel Lines.’ Then I heard ‘You Don’t Get Me High Anymore’ and I was floored. I loved it, so remixing it was a no-brainer. Adding Joey Purp was the cherry on top.
A perfect blend of hip-hop and electronic music, A-Trak’s version begins with pounding tech house-y beats and quickly moves towards the chorus supported by lovely vocals throughout. Purp’s rap ignites the track as expected providing for an impeccable vibe. Absolute to gain dancefloor traction worldwide, A-Trak’s remix of Phantogram’s ‘You Don’t Get Me High Anymore’ is out now and you can get it from here. Stream below:
