UK based duo Matt Robson and Kye Gibbon, who make up the rising talent known as Gorgon City, have come a long way from their underground circuit days, following up to their set of pop-house tunes like ‘All Four Walls’, ‘Blue Parrot’ and ‘Impaired Vision’ with a pleasing new addition to their Kingdom project with the release of their seventh single in the last six months: ‘Smile’.
Keeping things in high spirits, Gorgon City turns it up a notch by teaming up with a fellow UK based talent Elderbrook. This twenty two year old is known for his captivating voice and multi-talented abilities in the electronic music world, dishing out tracks like ‘Closer’, gaining him the supportive eye from some of the industry’s biggest radio show hosts, including Annie Mac, Pete Tong and Danny Howard of BBC Radio 1.
Through a preview released on Virgin, the track has been proven to be infectious and lively, featuring swaying, bass-driven beats, a delicate chord progression as it leads up to a doughy drop that bulges with extensive synth work to create a track with a vibe as glowing as its producers.
In addition to this exceedingly electronic version, this track team has also treated us to an acoustic version of the same, that further enhances the electrifying vocals of Elderbrook as a percussive rhythm accompanies to leave the listener in a mesmerised state of mind.
