Skrillex and Bruno Mars‘ highly awaited collaboration is likely to surface to anytime soon now. Teased during an interview with Billboard back in June, Sonny talked about how “What we’re doing is so f–king different, awesome and next level and sounds like nothing else that’s happened before.” While the music industry went into an absolute frenzy, fellow producer 12th Planet added more credence to the massive news when he approved of the collaboration in a since-deleted tweet.
While Skrillex indeed talked about the marshmello-deadmau5 feud in a lengthy interview with Complex recently, he also dished out details about his forthcoming work with Bruno Mars saying:
“I’m joining him for his album. Who knows if I’ll do something that’s more of a Skrillex thing with him, but he has a vision for his album, and I’m helping him produce it on some of the songs. It’s incredible. He’s my favorite songwriter to work with, and he’s the most fun guy to be in the studio with.”
While Complex reported that the two hit the studio together for Mars’ third LP, the pop star took to social media on the same day to announce that his upcoming album is complete. Check out the tweet below and stay tuned for further updates!
