Launched on June 30, 2015 as a streaming service on iTunes, Apple Music has added over 11 million users in less than a year. While this growth is not shocking, considering the reach iCloud and Apple Devices have across the world, it is commendable for them to make a mark in the already crowded music streaming space.
To keep making profits and continue being profitable, Apple Music had to cut back on some initially introduced free services. Beats One is the only radio station available to non-subscribers now. However, this didn’t stop users from subscribing to it over other streaming services, most notably Pandora, which is reportedly looking to sell after the user base declined to 81.1 million.
