The Lost Party Announces Phase 1 Lineup And Other Details For 2016 Edition

After a successful first edition last year, The Lost Party is back for its second edition,  with a handpicked selection of some of the country’s freshest and most exciting talent, alongside established acts from India and around the world, at its new lakeside location in the Sahyadris.

With last year’s lineup featuring the likes of Martin Roth, Yolanda be cool, Pig & Dan, Nucleya, Dualist Inquiry, BLOT! amongst many others, 2016’s edition sees the Indian lineup being curated by Pepsi MTV Indies. Set to take place from 26th-28th February, the festival will be featuring two mainstages at the festival, Idhar and Udhar, and the lineup will see the likes of Karsh Kale, who’ll be presenting the Karsh Kale SoundsystemDonn Bhat + Passenger RevelatorSpryk and OX7GEN, Swanand Kirkire with folk outfit Kabir’s Café, The Bartender, alongside newer electronica acts like Big City Harmonics, Frame/Frame and Oceantied alongside experimental producers Curtain Blue and Disco Puppet and deep electronic music producer The Sine Painter.

Joining them will be BuruduAswekeepsearchingZokova, Bajje Squad, The SundogProject, Dark Circle Factory, YesterdriveParaphoniks with Naveen Gandharva on the belabahar (fusion of the sarangi and violin),  Karajimo, Vasuda Sharma and the Besharams

The international talent at the festival will be represented by artists such as French artist dEbruit, German organic electro live act Moglebaum and The Funk Hunters, a Canadian duo that as their name suggests play funk and soul served with a healthy dose of electronic music, with more acts to be announced soon.

All festival patrons will be camping under a starlit sky, with options of a basic or a luxury tent. The festival will not just be restricted to music, as gaming arcades, hammocks, pillow fights and even a library to read in peace would be available at The Lost Party.

The festival’s official launch party will see the curiously named French trip-hop collective Chinese Man play a special gig at BlueFrog in Mumbai on 13th February.
