Skrillex continues to tread on his current path of global domination as his latest move comes in the form of a collaboration with famous K-Pop outfit 4Minute. After multiple instances of producing for rap stars, major pop icons as well as keeping his own sound in a natural progression, the OWSLA boss man is headed east this time to stamp his authority in the highly populated region.
Moreover, this is not the first time Sonny has dabbled onto the demographic at hand as his track “Dirty Vibe” with CL and G-Dragon and a special guest appearance by Japanese band BABYMETAL during his headlining set at Ultra Japan indicate nothing but pure affection and liking towards the culture. According to reports, Skrillex has further justified the point with an upcoming collaboration in the works 4Minute for their new EP Act 7. After a series of photos which were posted on Instagram by the quintet which you can check out above, the news has been confirmed by various news sites, one being KBS World who have given a heads up on the collaboration, saying, “As famous American DJ Skrillex is collaborating in the work, many of the group’s global fans are more excited.” The only time when it saw a rather diplomatic response was when Skrillex‘s camp was contacted for a comment on the matter by Billboard K-Pop columnist Jeff Benjamin who received a “no comment” statement. There are several possible directions to where the no comment line heads out, so we’ll just have to play the game of patience till February 1st when the EP drops.
