The recently concluded Ultra Japan saw the likes of Armin van Buuren, Skrillex, David Guetta, Alesso, Afrojack headline the festival, with Skrillex closing the second day (Sunday) with a surprise for his fans.
The OWSLA head honcho hopped on to the console, took the mic, and said ‘I’m going to bring some friends out right now. Is that okay?“, and the proceeded to bring out Japanese metal idol band BABYMETAL on the stage to perform the trio’s hit track ‘Gimme Chocolate‘ live on stage. BABYMETAL, who are known for their blend of j-pop and heavy metal, looked perfectly in sync with Skrillex on stage, and the live performance was a breath of fresh air, bringing together two different musical styles together.
