Who can forget Steve Aoki’s monstrous collaboration with Chris Lake & Tujamo ‘Boneless‘? The track soared across dancefloors and festival grounds for months and is still a fan favorite! And now the track got its own rebirth through a new vocal edit featuring LA Rapper Kid Ink called ‘Delirious‘. In line of his highly-anticipated new studio album ‘Neon Future-I‘ which sees a release on August 12 via Dim Mak and Ultra Music, the track is part of the Producer/DJ’s upcoming album. Here’s what Kid Ink had to say about his vocal edit on the track.
As a touring artist myself, it was hard to not hear about Steve Aoki and his crazy live shows, so this was a great opportunity for me to dive into his world and give his fans a glimpse of mine as well. To me this record was a great balance between the EDM world and the hip-hop world. Fans of both genres should really enjoy this record!
Taking that famous clanging bass sound from ‘Boneless‘ as a palette, Kid Ink overlaps his Rap vocals beat for beat and arranges his vocals with perfect synchronization. With energetic riffs and vocal cuts and samples interspaced throughout the track, the vocal doesn’t seem like a new addition on the track, ensuring the same fervor and energy that ‘Boneless‘ once ensured on the dancefloor.
