Summerburst started in 2011 and was immediately a success. The Summerburst Festival started as a day-long electronic music festival and has grown hugely in popularity every year. Summerburst has now been extended to two full days of music in two separate cities and attendance has set new records at Stockholm Stadion. The Summerburst festival is also held in Gothenburg a week before the Stockholm event. In three years the festival grew from 13,000 people a day at the Stockholm Olympic Stadium for two days in two cities. Last year 30,000 people visited the Stockholm festival each day. In Gothenburg, the 2013 festival was held at Ullevi and every day saw 24,000 people every day during the festival. This means that 2013 was visited Summerburst of a total of 108,000 people and a total of 60,000 tickets were sold.
Gothenbur is one of Sweden’s most picturesque cities, it is the second largest city in Sweden and the fifth largest in the Nordic countries. In May, the weather is beyond pleasant. With temperatures not too high, yet the sun bright and shiney with clear blue skies. A perfect kind of climate for a summer festival. This year, the festival was held at the massive Ullevi stadium, a perfect venue for a one of the biggest electronic festivals in Sweden!

With massive acts like Bingo Players, Dada Life, NERVO, Cosmic Gate, Aly & Fila, Tiesto and Hardwell on the first day, and Krewella, Sebjak, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Steve Angello, David Guetta, Beat Service and Chicane performing on the second day, there’s no question that the Swedes definitely do know how to party.
Massive sets, massive artists, beautiful people and a massive venue, it all makes for one hell of a festival that you have to catch at least once in your life.
