Ever wanted to know what your body art would sound like? Well, inventor, musician and artist, Dmitriy Morozov, has invented a machine that’s capable of making music out of tattoos. As part of his ::vtol:: initiative, a project founded in moscow that deals with experimentation in the fields of art and electronic music, their Reading My Body machine scans over ink to create an improvised ambient industrial composition. Along with this, movements of the hand or arm contribute to the various effects on the sounds produced. The machine is a complex combination of sensors, a motor and a Wii remote.
The result however, isn’t exactly a proper composed song, as one would expect, but this is quite a breakthrough in the field of technology.
