Aquaholic is an alias of Southern California based producer and DJ Steve Christy. Steve was born and raised in San Diego, California, allowing the pace of SoCal life to influence his work from the onset. Always having a strong passion for music, he moved to Los Angeles, California to attend The Los Angeles Recording School with aspirations of becoming an audio engineer. While in school, he interned at several studios soaking up as much knowledge as he could from industry professionals about recording, mixing, gear, etc.

At the same time, he was also gaining a lot of recognition amongst his peers for making great electronic music. Upon graduation, Steve signed with Plasmapool Records and “Aquaholic” was born. Inspired by the people and parties of San Diego’s beach scene, Steve takes the positive energy from his hometown and puts it in his uplifting melodic songs.

June 24th marked the worldwide launch of artist Aquaholic’s newest
track “Opening Day” on Plasmapool sub-label Noize records. This romping Glitch Hop track runs the gamut of sounds from traditional Glitch Hop to Bass Music to Dubstep. “Opening Day” is a high energy track, appealing to DJs looking for that one track guaranteed to ignite the dance floor and burn it to the ground with unbridled energy.
