All this aside, what really sets this young-ling apart is his skill behind the decks. Coming from someone who has now seen him in action thrice, the energy that oozes out of his track selection is like none other. Jumping between classics and brand new releases, he is able to bridge the gap between genres as well as fans. Knowing exactly how to interact with the crowd, the Spaniard succeeds at encouraging the dance floor dwellers to do more than just fist-pump. He not only brings you bootlegs, mashups and trap mixes of recent tracks, but sneaks in so many classics that are way before his time, for example he mixed in an acapella of “Numb” by Linkin Park as well as the infamous Star 69″ by Fatboy Slim just two nights ago at Bijou in Boston. The crowds at his show go buck-wild which only fuels his sets even more. Check out our YouTube channel for some snippets of his sets with much more to be added soon.

Ministry Of Sound Records is celebrating Avila’s budding talent by releasing an album called ‘Danny Avila Live’. This will be a 24 track compilation that features some of the biggest tracks that Avila is playing during his sets. For anyone who hasn’t heard him play or seen him live, this mammoth album represents exactly what the Spaniard does behind the decks.

“For me, (this mix) is really, really special,” said Avila, currently on tour in the States. “Ministry of Sound is one of the biggest brands in dance music history and I’ve always loved it. Not only because of the label, but also the club and all the people involved with it. It’s such an honour for me that Ministry asked me to do this compilation.”

Bringing forth a burning hot fusion of Electro, Dubstep, DnB, Progressive and Trap, this mix was recorded in the nine-day electronic music binge that Danny had in Miami for the Music week as well as his two sets at Ultra Music Festival. On the topic of Miami: “It’s one of my favourite cities in the world,” he added, “and it was in the middle of the music conference so I had a lot of inspiration!”.

Here is a little mini-mix to give you an idea of exactly what to expect with this release, also find the track-listing below.
