While it’s safe to say that May has been a colossal month for music fans around the country, Kitty Su are now gearing up to host a massive show later this week with none other than Lil Jon! With a solo performance scheduled to take place in New Delhi on 20th May, the audience can rest assured for an explosive and memorable experience.

A seasoned producer and rapper who has been on the block for almost two decades now, and while today’s audience know him for his unique skills to get any party started with his abrasive, yet hyped up vocals, the famed artist had his own unique beginnings. The Atlanta native who played a key role in the rise of crunk rap in the late 1990s formed his famed group Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz in 1997.

As time went by, the trio successfully dropped several hit rap records including ‘Get Low‘ with the Ying Yang Twins. Formed in collaboration with rappers Big Sam and Lil’ Bo, they continued to garner more audience with the release of their debut album ‘Get Crunk, Who U Wit: Da Album‘ which was again followed up by records including  We Still Crunk!, Put Yo Hood Up, Kings Of Crunk and Crunk Juice.

What ultimately gave birth to a number of hit singles that graced dance floors around the world including ‘I Like Those Girls‘, ‘Bia’ Bia’‘ featuring Ludacris, Too Short, Big Kapp, and Chyna Whyte, ‘What U Gon’ Do‘ featuring Lil’ Scrappy, ‘Lovers & Friends‘ featuring Usher and Ludacris amongst many more, Lil Jon also gave birth to several other blockbuster hits in the early 2000s namely  Usher’s ‘Yeah!‘, Petey Pablo’s ‘Freak-a-Leek‘, and Trick Daddy’s ‘Let’s Go‘.

As he eventually kicked off his solo career, Lil Jon released his album Crunk Rock in 2010, which featured acts such as LMFAO, Soulja Boy, Ying Yang Twins, Waka Flocka Flame, R. Kelly, and many more. Leaning towards club-ready music, he quickly began to find success with the hit single ‘Shots‘ with LMFAO and ‘Drink‘ which was released in 2011.

Moreover, while Lil Jon has remained to a staple figure within the music industry over the years, he was back under the spotlight with his biggest hit till date aka ‘Turn Down For What‘ in collaboration with DJ Snake which took over the world in 2014 and has went on to be certified 5X Platinum by the RIAA. Having also worked with some of dance music’s hottest acts including Flosstradamus, Hardwell, Steve Aoki, Laidback Luke, Alvaro and MAKJ for hit records like ‘Turbulence‘, ‘Prison Riot‘, ‘Live The Night‘ and more, Lil Jon continues to make his presence felt within the active EDM scene and beyond.
