Magnetic Fields Announces Stellar 2017 Phase One Lineup Featuring Four Tet, Ben UFO, Machinedrum & More!

It’s that time of the year again! As one of India’s most revered music festivals, Magnetic Fields gears up for its highly awaited return to Alsisar Mahal, Rajasthan for their fifth edition, they have now finally removed the veil from what might be one of its hottest lineups till date.

With British electronic music heavyweight Four Tet set to headline the Bira 91 South Stage alongside American producer Machinedrum and key Brainfeeder affiliate TEEBS, their renowned Red Bull Music Academy North stage will feature dance music stalwart Ben UFO, Canadian DJ and producer Jayda G and Special Request, the rave and jungle moniker of Paul Woolford. The Indian acts on the lineup are The Ska Vengers, Sid Vashi, Ape Echoes, Aerate Sound and Stalvart John.

Moreover, the day stage will also host the Indian premiere of Different Trains 1947, a brand new audio-visual composition that will bring together the historical and contemporary cultures of UK and India. An exceptional collaboration between music artists Actress, Jack Barnett (These New Puritans), Sandunes, percussionist Jivraj Singh, Hindustani vocalist Priya Purushothaman and filmmakers/artists Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard, the entire group will perform a new audio-visual composition in response to the events of 1947 at the festival on December 17.
