Undeniably one of the most iconic artist collectives on the block, OWSLA has grown its stature over the years to command its position as one of the most creative A&Rs within the industry. Moreover, having spent more than half-a-decade within the dance music scene, Skrillex & him LA-based collective has efficiently put themselves on the map to be reckoned as one of today’s most influential taste makers. And now it looks like the label is gearing up to deliver its own signature take on house music.
That’s right! The renowned label is all set to release a brand new compilation aptly titled ‘HOWSLA‘ which as noted by NEST HQ,“embodies the identity of OWSLA while inheriting its core sensibilities in service of house music, the original genre of dance music.”
Curated by Sonny Moore himself alongside UK house heavyweight Chris Lake, the upcoming body of work is being led by the famed producer’s brand new single ‘I Want You‘. While ‘HOWSLA‘ is set to drop on May 5, Chris also talked to Billboard to discuss the overall sound of the compilation saying:
“We just wanted the coolest shit on this album. The stuff that we felt was very 2017 and beyond. No looking back, completely looking forward…”
