Barcelona-based Sónar Festival has been one of the most forwarding thinking events to exist within the electronic music space. With a history spanning more than two decades, the three-day annual showcase not only puts the spotlight on electronic music, but also technology and creativity. And now fresh off announcing the debut edition of Sónar Hong Kong, the highly awaited lineup is finally out.
A single-day event set to take place on April 1 at Hong Kong Science Park, Sónar Hong Kong’s impressive artist lineup will feature legendary dance music figures Dave Clarke, Ellen Allien and Gilles Peterson, pioneers such as DJ Shadow, Clark and electronic upstarts Evian Christ, Danny L Harle and many more. An expansive showcase spanning six stages which will not only host performances, audience will also be treated to Sónar+D: a series of creative tech-centered activities, including workshops, talks and an expo, plus interactive virtual reality and new media arts installations and performances.
