Deniz Koyu – Rage (Original Mix)

Deniz Koyu - Rage (origianl mix)

Deniz Koyu returns to Sebastian Ingrosso‘s label with the follow-up to last years festival favourite Bong. Anticipation for new single Rage has been building since last year, with Swedish House Mafia supporting the track during their One Last Tour performances, and is destined to be another future anthem from Koyu. Bringing his trademark energy and precision in abundance, Rage is a dynamic peak time production. True to its name, a feverish build up unfurls in a burst of pounding drums and heavyweight synth riffs, which spiral upwards through the track to keep energy levels high throughout. 2012 was Koyu’s biggest year yet as he has continues to rise through the ranks of dance music on a wave of high quality releases and high-energy performances. The new single is a confident statement from Koyu of intent for the new year and the first taste of a lot more to come on Refune Records. Hit play and listen the track right below.

Alesso Vs OneRepublic – If I Lose Myself (Alesso Remix) [Preview]

Alesso vs One Republic - If I Lose Myself

The young swedish prodigy “Alesso” who remixed the Beatport charting  Keane’s – Silenced By The Night last year makes his return to remix duties. This time laying his production skills on OneRepublic‘s track – If I Lose Myself from the band’s upcoming studio album, ‘Naive’. Turning it into the signature melodic heavy progressive sound everyone loves to hear.

Alesso seems to works around Ryan Tedder‘s sing-a-long vocals brilliantly in the remix, adding some tantalizing chord progressions with a catchy melody that will drive the crowd insane this summer. The track is out on 2nd April via Sebastian Ingrosso‘s label Refune Records. Watch out for it!

Alesso ft. Matthew Koma – Years (Hard Rock Sofa Remix)

With its flurry of driving drums and uplifting, anthemic synths Alesso’s breakout track “Years” featuring Matthew Koma provided the perfect soundtrack to the summer, igniting festivals all over the world and now following its huge success the incredible track has been giving a new edge this week with a remix from Hard Rock Sofa.

Lifting the shimmering piano melodies and optimistic swoon of Koma’s lyrics from the original, the duo inject it with some serious dance floor muscle. Bringing their throttling sound to the track, they add big drums, addictive synths riffs and a grinding bassline to make an unstoppable club track. The Russian remix masters swap synths for scales, building a completely new progressive house sound before inserting the original’s infamous piano part nearly three minutes into this superb remix.

With this stellar remix of the now anthemic track, Hard Rock Sofa exceed the level of talent which dance music fans across the planet now associate with their name. A hectic 2012 saw them release a slew of new music on Spinnin’ Records, Wall Recordings and Axtone Records, and their remix of ‘Years’ ensures that they are continuing that momentum through into 2013.

The superb remix is out now on Sebastian Ingrosso‘s imprint Refune Records. Get it now!

Otto Knows – Million Voices (Official Video)

Screen Shot 2013-01-13 at 12.07.09 AM

“Million Voices” has been a track that has dominated almost every DJ’s set around the world last year! The tune has been so infectious all over that even someone who doesn’t recall the name of the track can just simply relate to the tune as soon they hear it.

So after almost a year after his mentor Sebastian Ingrosso premiered it on his Refune Radio podcast, we have the official video of the track that just been released.

The concept behind the video is very simple. Society and music are smartly brought together. To start with, the music video focuses on where the voice develops – the mouth! By filming mouths of people who have piercings, braces and moustaches breaking out through the walls we are shown how we as a society always have something to voice our opinion on.

The video exemplifies our diverse society and how we all can come together with music.  Lips are painted neon and faces are adorned with stars and flowers. The camera lens never stray from the mouth until the end when the half painted face of Otto himself appears in center view.

The last shot fittingly reinforces the idea behind the video. Through the half painted face he wants to focus on the mouth, the vocals and salute the voices of the millions of the people who are brought together every day for the love of a sound, rhythm or a beat.

Maybe it’s a Swedish thing, as just like his peers Otto Knows seems to definitely “know” how to get a simple message across to everyone!

Burns – Lies (Otto Knows Remix)

It gives me great pleasure to write my first post on this young talented DJ from Sweden who like his mentor will be defining the EDM scene for many years. After giving us “Million Voices” that can surely be counted as one of the tracks of the year 2012, we have Otto Knows coming back with huge remix of the track “Lies” by Burns.

The remix includes a great build up with a steady violin-sounding beat and incredible vocals to make it an all around amazing track.

A big shout goes out to Sebastian Ingrosso for finding us such a gifted DJ! I just don’t how the music scene would have been if he had not found Alesso and now Otto Knows. Let’s just hope he keeps continuing his trend of spotting talent and bringing them into the limelight right away.

Otto Knows is usually always opening for most of the gigs carried out by Swedish House Mafia. Some part of me is hoping (in fact praying) that he along with Alesso manages to be there in India when the Swedish House Mafia group takes over the country in November!

After seeing them both play live, I can tell you that these boys can take the crowd to a whole new level. Trust me. You won’t be disappointed.

Sebastian Ingrosso and Tommy Trash – Reload

This one took a long time but we are glad that we are sharing it with you guys. First played by Sebastian Ingrosso at the main stage of EDC NYC, this amazing collaboration between him and Tommy Trash is going to be one of the most eagerly awaited releases of the year. The likes of Tiesto, Avicii, Nicky Romero, David Guetta have all played this track in their sets at some of the biggest festivals we have seen this year. You can really hear the blend of influences when you listen to this tune. Mr. Trashs’ signature synth is the energy instrument of the track; this synth along with Ingrosso’s ingenious melodic influence and studio experience is really what makes this tune an all around energy filled monster. “Reload” will be released under Ingrosso’s label Refune Records. No release date has been confirmed yet but this track has all the signs of being a tremendous hit!
