Deniz Koyu Releases Generation Wild Tour Documentary

Deniz Koyu, who is hands down one of our favorite producers here at The Bangin Beats has released a video showcasing the behind the scenes and upfront action from the Generation Wild Tour. This tour was a North American Bus Tour with Mikael Weermets, Danny Avila and dBerrie. Laden with champagne showers courtesy of New York based photographer, Kirill, who is well knows for his party inducing actions, and CO2 spraying, this tour was an epic journey. I can say so from personal experience as I witnessed their stop in Boston and heard from them individually about all the shows they had played and how they connected so easily amongst themselves. Have a look below at all the madness and glory from the new generation of producers:

EDM to hit the Big Screen with Diplo and Fox

Another huge step in what has been a revolutionary movement of EDM  into mainstream media, an untitled movie will be produced by Diplo and his business partner Kevin Kusatsu along with Fox. Who better to produce a project like this than Mad Decent owner Diplo, who has his his roots deep inside the music scene. We are sure this production will open up a brand new door into artwork from other artists as well.

Via The Hollywood Reporter:

The movie, following three teens as they try to attend a Diplo show, is described as “8 Mile” meets “Project X.”

Diplo and his business partner Kevin Kusatsu will executive produce an EDM-based feature film for 20th Century Fox, a rep for the musician confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter.

The movie will be written by Adam Weinstock and Andy Jones, and produced by Trevor Engelson. Noah Rothman will also executive produce.

The currently untitled film has been described as 8 Mile meets Project X, and follows three teenagers as they try to get into a Diplo show. Kusatsu told The Fader in an email that the story is “like Eminem and Christopher Walken at a Manchester rave.” There’s no word on when the film would go into production at this point.

Diplo, who is currently touring with his group Major Lazer, previously directed a documentary feature about Rio’s funk carioca scene titled Favela On Blast, which was released on DVD in 2010. The producer, known for his work with Snoop Lion and M.I.A., studied film at Temple University and toldGQ last year that he would “love to take a year off to do strictly film work.”

Major Lazer’s second album, Free the Universe, will be released April 15 via Diplo’s label Mad Decent. A video for the album’s most recent single, “Watch Out for This (Bumaye),” will drop this week.

A Year with Armin van Buuren

An ordinary person, living an extraordinary life Armin van Buuren, a superstar DJ, who was ruling the roost for 4 years in a row on the controversial DJ Mag rankings, lives the life that most of us can only dream of. With an unmatchable passion for music, the perfectionist has always strived to stay on top, dealing with the daily pressure that comes along with his fast paced life.

‘A YEAR IN THE LIFE OF ARMIN VAN BUUREN’ gives you a closer look at the person behind the Dutch DJ. Taking one year out of his exciting life.

Honestly if it wasn’t for the love of music, Armin wouldn’t be where he is today. The mastermind like many of us know is also the person behind one of the longest running radio shows in dance music history and owner of the A State of Trance label where not only does he let us in on his new work but also spreads other exceptional tracks coming from all over the world.

This documentary will take you all the way from his home, to the airports, to the private jets, to heading for the parties, shows, concerts and more. It will bring you to that amazing moment, when 100,000 fans present at a concert await their hero. It reveals the relentless drive inside him, as well as the music addict.

From the preparation of his ‘Mirage’ world tour and the phone call that’ll tell him if he’ll keep his #1 position in the DJ Mag Top 100, to a tour around the house he grew up in and the radio announcement that he’s going to be a father. ‘A YEAR IN THE LIFE OF ARMIN VAN BUUREN’ is not another ‘behind the scenes’ documentary. Nicky Romero – Electric Zoo 2012

The Dutch sensation is giving his fans a chance to relive his 2012 Electric Zoo experience that took place earlier this month in New York. It was Nicky’s first time on the main stage and boy he tore it down big time. He is definitely part of the group of upcoming DJ’s from Netherlands who will be dominating the EDM scene for many years to come.

In his set, Nicky stuck to his style of music throughout by giving us plenty of those heavy electronic beats mixed with his trademark piano sounds. If you want to get a feel of his set then you can download it from here

There may be a very strong possibility that Nicky Romero may come down to India in November of this year. From someone who has seen him play live, I strongly recommend you making it for his gig.

In the meantime, click play and enjoy seeing him make the New York crowd go crazy!
