Laidback Luke’s Super You & Me NYC relocated from Pier of Fear after city rescinds permits

New York City’s most anticipated Halloween event, Pier of Fear, has officially been cut to three days. After RPM was granted five days worth of permits, NYC rescinded two of them. This devastating news will cut out Laidback Luke this Friday and the first day of Steve Aoki the follow friday. An extremely disappointing piece of news, but it seems that the Big Apple will continue to be strict on electronic music events after the tragic mishap endured at Electric Zoo earlier this year. Final Day of Electric Zoo Festival Cancelled!

City officials cancelled the final day of the Electric Zoo dance music festival on Randall’s Island after two concertgoers died from apparent overdoses.  The electronic dance music festival, in its fifth year, was scheduled to conclude Sunday with headlining sets by Armin Van Buuren, Sebastiona Ingrosso, Steve Aoki and Laidback Luke. But over the first two days of the festival, two attendees died from apparent overdoses of MDMA, nicknamed molly, an illegal drug typically combined with other chemicals in Ecstasy pills, officials said. Electric Zoo Festival releases its Official Trailer for 2013!

The three-day electronic music festival Electric Zoo that celebrates its 5th year anniversary this year will take place on Labor Day Weekend (August 30th-September 1st) at its usual New York City location, Randall’s Island. Electric Zoo Has Announced Phase 3 of Their 2013 Lineup

Electric Zoo has announced the Phase III artist lineup for its fifth year anniversary, bringing over 125 DJs and live acts to Randall’s Island this Labor Day Weekend on August 30, August 31, and September 1 for a final summer blowout dance party. Year 2012 showed us a tremendous gathering. Having already announced live acts, providing the finest techno, trance, house, dubstep, electro, indie dance music DJs from around the world in their previous two phases, the third phase has brought some essential additions like Deniz Koyu, Henrix and Vicetone.
