Skrillex, Diplo, CL, and G-Dragon Collab Confirmed

It was confirmed yesterday during Diplo‘s Reddit AMA, that he has a collaboration in the works with Skrillex, CL, and K-pop superstar G-Dragon. Based on the recent G-Dragon collaboration with Diplo and Baauer earlier this year on a track titled Coup D’Etat (which got almost 6 mill views FYI), we can only expect something with trap music tendencies on this upcoming collab.
If you’re stumped about who G-Dragon is, well, he’s a huge popstar with an even bigger fan, not only restricted to his home country, Korea. We’re definitely awaiting to see how this all falls into place with Skrillex and Diplo.
For those who haven’t heard, here’s some Coup D’Etat for you.

‘Avicii X You’ a collaboration between Avicii and fans: Officially Releases!

Launched on Jan 9,2013, for 7 weeks continuously Avicii gathered fan submissions for what is believed to be the biggest collaboration ever. In order to get as many producers & fans involved, anyone and everyone was allowed to submit their own bit of production by giving out a simple chord progression melody. Record breaking 13,000 entries were received from over 140 different countries. Avicii selected weekly finalists, then allowed fans to vote for the winning beats and sounds to be used in the finished product.
The two-time Grammy nominee pieced together the track after weeks of tireless listening and hours of production at his studio in L.A. Finally, “Avicii X You” is ready for its worldwide delivery. All royalties from “X You” will be donated to House For Hunger, a relief charity founded by Avicii and his business manager Ash Pourouri.
Watch a ‘making-of’ video featuring a stream of the track below.
Project 46 took a shot at the collab — using Avicii’s stems to add their own elements and vocals to the track. This track is not an official collaboration, but still a great one to listen to.
Duke Dumont feat. A*M*E- Need U (100%)

In 2012, the North Londoner Duke Dumont released ‘The Giver‘ on Turbo recordings that gathered a range of plaudits.
And like that wasn’t enough , he’s back this year with a hot streak called ‘Need you(100%)‘ with a collab with A*M*E. This track is the first release on a new label called Blase Boys Club .
This vocalised track defines the current state of House Music meandering its way to the UK. Starting the year with this new single, plus appearing on a special Essential Mix last weekend, this 12 months beckons a lot for Duke Dumont.
Flux Pavilion feat. Childish Gambino – Do or Die

Childish Gambino collaborates with EDM superstar Flux Pavilion, UK’s king of drops. It all started with a few twitter mentions between the two and from then it is history. We bring to you the clean version for now, but expect to hear the CDQ when Flux drops his “Blow The Roof” EP on January 28th 2013.
‘Do or Die’ begins with an upbeat, building instrumental accompanied by some solid bars from Gambino before exploding into the trademarked epic, heavy bass of Flux. Although hip-hop and dubstep have long been intertwined, this joint effort may be one of the strongest of its kind to date.
This track is perfect for your casual Wednesday rage, and comes just in time for the holiday season. Turn this up, sip on some eggnog and get ratchet with Flux and Childish this Christmas, Hanukkah , Eid, Kwanza and New Years!
Black Sun Empire & Noisia – Feed The Machine
In our effort to bring you a more diverse EDM experience, here is Black Sun Empire teaming up with Noisia to bring you ‘Feed the Machine’. Both are trios based in the Netherlands and veterans in the DnB scene across the globe. Part of Black Sun Empire’s new studio album From the Shadows, which releases on October 15th, the track starts off with heavy and dark synths bringing a very deep tech feel to it and eventually breaking into a typical DnB sound with hints of the deep tech throughout the piece. Usually with a Noisia track you expect a lot more break-beat and glitch to it but it seems like Black Sun Empire had a heavier influence in this number.
