All 140 Episodes Of Pokemon the Series: XY Are Coming To Netflix

In the upcoming month, fans of Pokemon will be delighted as the complete Pokemon the Series: XY will be arriving on Netflix. This collection encapsulates the initial series along with its subsequent seasons, Kalos Quest and XYZ. These shows represent a creative reinterpretation of the plotlines found in the Pokemon X and Y video games, which were originally released on the Nintendo 3DS.

The series features the beloved character Ash Ketchum and his iconic Pikachu. Set in the visually captivating Kalos region, the story introduces several characters from the original games. Ash is accompanied on his adventures by new friends Clemont—a Gym Leader from Lumiose City—and his sister Bonnie. Throughout the series, they encounter new Pokemon, delve into the mysteries of Mega Evolution, and repeatedly thwart the nefarious schemes of Team Rocket, who, as always, fail to succeed in their plots by the episode’s end. Viewers can start streaming the series on Netflix starting June 1, as reported by Comic Book.

For those who prefer physical copies or might face licensing restrictions on Netflix, the series is also available on DVD. The first season contains 48 episodes, followed by Kalos Quest with 45 episodes, and XYZ, which concludes the saga with 47 episodes. In addition to the series, this era of Pokemon includes several special episodes and feature-length films.

Fans of the printed series can enjoy the manga adaptation, which boasts impressive artwork by Satoshi Yamamoto. Each volume of the manga is priced between $7 and $11. Moreover, all three XY films—Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction, Hoopa and the Clash of Ages, and Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel—are available together on Blu-ray for $17.35, discounted from the original $25.

The series release is timely, coinciding with the anticipation building around the upcoming release of Pokemon Legends: Z-A, expected late in 2025. This new game is set in the Paris-inspired Lumiose City from X and Y, bustling with both people and Pokemon. Although specific plot details remain under wraps, it is known that the game will expand upon gameplay elements introduced in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, including new battle mechanics and a focus on Mega Evolutions.
