Patti Smith has unveiled a series of concert dates celebrating the 50th anniversary of her iconic debut album, Horses, as highlighted by Rolling Stone. Throughout this tour, Smith alongside her band will deliver a full performance of the album each evening. The tour will commence on October 6 in Dublin, with Smith performing across various locations in Europe and the United Kingdom, before moving to the United States in November. The American leg of the tour will see performances in cities including Seattle, Oakland, San Francisco, Chicago, New York, Boston, and Washington, D.C., culminating in Philadelphia on November 29. The complete schedule can be found below.
Accompanying Smith on stage will be her longtime collaborators, guitarist Lenny Kaye and drummer Jay Dee Daugherty, both of whom were part of the original 1975 LP recording. The live band will also include bassist and keyboardist Tony Shanahan, and Smith’s son, guitarist Jackson Smith. Over the years, Smith has occasionally performed the entire Horses album, including notable performances in 2015 at New York’s Beacon Theatre and in 2005 at London’s Meltdown Festival, which she curated.
