Nintendo Fans Spot Unannounced Character in Mario Bros. Wonder Switch 2 Trailer

Exciting Updates for Super Mario Bros. Wonder on Nintendo Switch 2

Last week’s announcement of the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of Super Mario Bros. Wonder has sparked intense speculation among the gaming community, following a potentially unintentional hint dropped by Nintendo itself.

New Characters and Features Teased

By freezing the video of the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition trailer at the 2:01 timestamp, viewers can spot an icon for a mini-game that features Rosalina, the celestial princess first seen in the Super Mario Galaxy series. Notably absent from the original Super Mario Bros. Wonder on the Switch, Rosalina’s inclusion in the upcoming Switch 2 Edition seems likely, especially given the strong focus on Galaxy-themed content Nintendo is gearing up to release next year.

Titled Super Mario Bros Wonder: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park, this enhanced version of the platform game is set to include a plethora of new multiplayer mini-games. A glimpse of Bellabel Park was seen in the trailer, where an icon depicting Rosalina and Yoshi participating in a challenge was identified by Nintendo enthusiast DynamoSuperX on social media.

Further exciting features for the Switch 2 version of Wonder were hinted at in the trailer, with promises from Nintendo to reveal more details later. This could potentially include a new series of Galaxy-themed levels, aligning with Rosalina’s rumored addition to the game.

Major Plans for Mario Galaxy Content

Next year is shaping up to be a significant one for fans of the Mario Galaxy series. Nintendo plans to release expanded versions of Mario Galaxy and Galaxy 2 for the Switch 2, priced at $70 for both or $40 individually. Additionally, a physical edition of Rosalina’s storybook from the game will be made available for purchase.

These developments are all building up to the premiere of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, a sequel to the successful collaboration between Nintendo and Universal in their first Mario-themed film. A teaser shown during the Nintendo Direct broadcast strongly suggests that Rosalina will also be making her debut on the silver screen soon.

Nintendo’s strategic hints and planned releases indicate an exciting future for the Super Mario franchise, particularly with the integration of beloved characters and themes from the Galaxy series into new and existing games.
