Little Simz to Curate London’s Meltdown Festival 2025

Little Simz has been selected as the curator for the 2025 Meltdown Festival at the Southbank Centre in London. As the chosen curator for the festival’s 30th anniversary, the rapper will select the artists and acts that will perform. She follows a prestigious line of past curators including David Bowie, Pattie Smith, and Christine and the Queens. Scheduled for June 12-22, the festival will feature a variety of ticketed events, free outdoor performances, and several workshops. Details about the artists Simz will invite are expected to be announced in the upcoming spring.

“I am thrilled to take on the role of curator for the 2025 Meltdown festival! Together with my team, we are planning eleven days filled with art, music, workshops, and more,” Simz expressed in a statement. “To join the ranks of such esteemed artists who have previously curated the festival is truly an honor. I am grateful to the Southbank Centre for this opportunity. Meltdown 2025 done the Simz way is going to be unforgettable. I look forward to seeing everyone there.”

It has been roughly three years since Simz released her last album, with her fifth studio album, No Thank You, coming out in 2022. Following that, she released the Drop 7 EP, collaborated with Sampha on the track “Satellite Business 2.0,” and released a live album from her dynamic performance at Glastonbury.
