Microsoft Unveils Grounded Sequel at Xbox Games Showcase 2025
Microsoft has recently unveiled a new installment in the Grounded series at the Xbox Games Showcase 2025, with plans to release the game as early as next month.
Grounded 2 introduces a fresh chapter in Obsidian Entertainment’s miniature garden survival saga, reminiscent of the adventures in “Honey I Shrunk the Kids.”
Similar to its predecessor, Grounded 2 will debut through the Xbox Game Preview program. This approach allows players to engage with the game while it is still under development. Fans can expect to dive into this new adventure starting July 29, 2025, available on PC and the Xbox Series X/S platforms.
The recently released gameplay trailer offers a glimpse beyond the original game’s backyard setting. This time, the action takes place in a nearby park where players must again craft tools for survival and battle against new threats, including caterpillars.
However, it’s not just about the dangers. The trailer also highlighted some exciting friendly interactions with the game’s insects. Notably, players can now ride ants, using them as mounts to navigate the game’s expansive world, adding an intriguing dimension to the survival experience.
To find out more about this and other announcements from the event, be sure to look up the details from the Xbox Games Showcase June 2025.
