Dillon Francis remixes Justin Timberlake’s – “Suit & Tie” [Preview]

Dillon Francis _ Suit & Tie

Justin Timberlake recently made a comeback to his music career and released the first single “Suit & Tie (feat. Jay-Z)” earlier this year from his upcoming album “The 20/20 Experience” which is set to be out this week. Dillon Francis who is firing up some great production work lately, creating a breathtaking trap remix of Dada Life’s “So Young So High” and his track “Bootleg Fireworks (Burning Up)” is also getting a huge response. The first information that came about Dillon remixing “Suit & Tie” was through his instagram where he uploaded a picture stating that he’s gonna remix “Suit & Tie” and also a remix for Passion Pit, which most probably will be their track “Carried Away” remixed by Tiesto as well.

He takes up Timberlake’s pop tune to present his remix treatment, adding his signature hard kicks and snares along with his moombahton sounds turning it into an ultimate trap production he’s known for. Messing around with JT’s vocals to a great extent while Jay-Z rapping is missing throughout, Dillon beautifully constructs the remix with the highly processed vocals and you can also notice the original track samples here & there as well. As confirmed by Dillon via Twitter, his remix is accepted by Timberlake himself for an official release and will be out soon, no release date yet though. So, Enjoy this freshly baked tune right below and watch this space for more update.

Tiësto Announces 20 Month Residency at Las Vegas Super Club – HAKKASAN!

Top DJs have been doing residencies in Las Vegas since time immeorial, when outstanding artists like Erick Morillo and Paul Oakenfold planted their roots in Sin City and more recently, the Wynn and Cosmopolitan hotels housed Kaskade, Deadmau5 and more but no other artist has made a commitment quite like the one Tiësto (who also happens to coincidentally be our Artist of the Month) is making.

“I’m going to dedicate my year to Las Vegas. Just Vegas, maybe a couple of festivals. I haven’t decided yet”, Tiësto was quoted saying. As part of his residency the legend has entered into a new partnership with Hakkasan, Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Hotel as he bypasses Ibiza, Spain, the long undisputed dance capital of the world, for the summer entirely.

“With the scene blowing up in America, Vegas is so much fun now,” he says. “It’s the right time to do it. I do everything on my gut feeling, and I felt like it’s gonna be awesome there. I’ve been to Ibiza for 10 years, and I love Ibiza, but I always look for something new and a new challenge.”

As part of his 20-month deal with MGM, Tiësto will perform more than 20 daytime shows at the Wet Republic outdoor pool but the major crux of his residency, which begins in April, will be more than 40 gigs at the new five floor Hakkasan, Las Vegas Restaurant and Nightclub, a massive space that holds more than 7,000 people. “They want to make it an experience,” he says. “For sure, the production inside the club is going to be amazing.”

Tiësto who is always scheming to deliver a new & different show each week to keep audiences on their toes says, “I think nowadays, with people having mobile phones and the Internet, you have to be even more aware that people see the show even before they come. You have to make sure you can always surprise them every time you do a production” . He intends to do so by bringing fresh talent with him. “I love that I can bring some of the new DJs to my home,” he says. “I want to have new DJs every week there”.

For long standing fans of the unmatched Producer/DJ, the move shouldn’t come as a complete surprise. In 2011, while speaking to a leading publication about his College Life tour across universities, Tiësto admitted that after two decades of nonstop touring around the globe he was looking to settle down a bit and be closer to the music industry hub of Los Angeles.

“I can be more in the studio with artists [this way] instead of just bouncing tracks back and forth, and really produce other people’s albums and songs. So that’s going to be the biggest change,” he says. “It doesn’t matter if they’re famous or not – I just want to meet other creative people who can maybe bring something different to the studio than what I have. I think that’s the most important thing for me.”

Kaskade previews his upcoming collaboration with Project 46 – ‘Last Chance’ in his ‘Summer Lovin’ Teaser video

Kasakde Summer Lovin

As the winter comes to an end and summer is all ready to set in, Kaskade teases everybody with his new mystery project called ‘Summer Lovin’. Creating hashtag #SummerLovin on twitter and uploading a ‘Summer Lovin’ picture earlier this week on his tumblr page captioning it as “Summer 2013 plans locked in! #SummerLovin”, making his fans around the world curious.

He finally shares this video which starts off with the music of Kool & The Gang “Summer Madness” in the background with some old school party images, then goes into the new school party wave of madness with his new single with Project 46 called “Last Chance“, which appears to be the second confirmed track beside “No One Knows Who We Are” for his upcoming album due late spring/early summer. All we can grab from this 20 seconds short preview is that, Kaskade is venturing some new sounds for his upcoming album as far his style of music is concerned and we can hint the taste of big room progressive sounds of Project 46 as well. Definitely seems to be a #banger, can’t wait for a longer preview or some release info. The video still leaves fans hanging by flashing the message in the end : “More Details to be out March 4th“. Is this a new tour for summer 2013 or the name of his upcoming album perhaps? We’ll know it soon.

‘Avicii X You’ a collaboration between Avicii and fans: Officially Releases!

aviciixyou1

Launched on Jan 9,2013, for 7 weeks continuously Avicii gathered fan submissions for what is believed to be the biggest collaboration ever. In order to get as many producers & fans involved, anyone and everyone was allowed to submit their own bit of production by giving out a simple chord progression melody. Record breaking 13,000 entries were received from over 140 different countries. Avicii selected weekly finalists, then allowed fans to vote for the winning beats and sounds to be used in the finished product.

The two-time Grammy nominee pieced together the track after weeks of tireless listening and hours of production at his studio in L.A. Finally, “Avicii X You” is ready for its worldwide delivery. All royalties from “X You” will be donated to House For Hunger, a relief charity founded by Avicii and his business manager Ash Pourouri.

Watch a ‘making-of’ video featuring a stream of the track below.

Project 46 took a shot at the collab — using Avicii’s stems to add their own elements and vocals to the track. This track is not an official collaboration, but still a great one to listen to.
