DJ AM's documentary confirmed, ‘As I AM’ trailer debuted

On August 28th, 2009 Adam Goldstein a.k.a DJ AM passed away in his apartment cause being a fatal drug overdose. Like any legend, it is only fair that he shall be fondly honored. We’re especially glad to announce that Kevin Kerslake, a documentary film maker premiered a trailer for his upcoming documentary revolving around the late DJ AM. Titled ‘As I AM: The Life and Times of DJ AM’, hit past the break to read more!Previewed by a panel at the EDMBiz, Kevin Kerslake has tried to capture the most important bits of DJ AM’s life, featuring interviews, performances and a whole lot more footage including his friends like Steve Aoki, Travis BarkerPasquale Rotella amongst others. Also known for his previous film titled Electric Daisy Carnival Experience, Kevin Kerslake is no newbie to this world.

Here’s what Steve Aoki had to say, “In many ways he was my guru in life and DJing. I wouldn’t be where I am today if I wasn’t guided by Adam. He was a really solid compassionate human being. That’s why he was so successful.”

Scott Goldman, Vice President of MusiCares, said that the new alliance with the DJ AM Foundation will help the charity to provide funds as and when musicians require addiction recovery support, ranging from financing rehab to searching for local AA meetings when artists go on tour.

Goldstein’s own recovery is central to the story told in the documentary. Kerslake mentioned, ”There are lot of heroes in this world and it’s about time that some of them get their due on the screen,His story is very complex, he had some deep passions and very aggressive demons.”

Set to release later this year, we honestly cannot wait to watch this one.
