Anne Hathaway was recently seen in a video from People magazine where she addressed the paparazzi during the filming of “The Devil Wears Prada 2.” The much-anticipated sequel has been in production at various spots across New York City since July, attracting a lot of attention from eager fans. On days when the film is being shot, paparazzi have been particularly aggressive in their efforts to catch a glimpse of the returning characters and their latest fashion ensembles. On a filming day that involved young actors, Hathaway was notably vigilant.
“You guys have got to relax,” Hathaway cautioned the paparazzi. “There are children on set today. Does everyone know that there are children on set? So everyone is going to relax, and we’re going to have a very nice day because we have children here. Thank you.”

In “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” Hathaway reprises her role as Andy Sachs, who originally was an aspiring journalist and the personal assistant to the formidable editor-in-chief of a fashion magazine, Miranda Priestly, played by Meryl Streep. While the details of the plot are still kept secret, the sequel sees Hathaway and Streep returning to their roles, joined by original cast members such as Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci, and Tracie Thoms as Andy’s best friend Lily and Tibor Feldman as the chairman of the magazine’s parent company. The team also welcomes back director David Frankel and screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna.
The storyline of the sequel reportedly centers around Priestly as she adapts to the changing landscape of the magazine publishing industry. She confronts Blunt’s character, her former assistant who has risen to become a powerful executive in the luxury sector, wielding significant influence over advertising revenues.
New additions to the cast of “The Devil Wears Prada 2” include Kenneth Branagh, who will portray Miranda Priestly’s husband, and Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak, and Pauline Chalamet in roles yet to be disclosed.
“The Devil Wears Prada 2” is scheduled to hit theaters on May 1, 2026, released by 20th Century Studios and Disney.
