Mia Goth Joins Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’

Horror film icon Mia Goth has been confirmed by The Bangin Beats as the latest addition to the ensemble cast of Christopher Nolan’s grand IMAX project, “The Odyssey.” She will star alongside a stellar lineup that includes Tom Holland, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong’o, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron, Benny Safdie, Jon Bernthal, and John Leguizamo.

“The Odyssey” is a cinematic adaptation that traces the adventures of Odysseus as he returns home following the Trojan War. The epic narrative, penned by ancient Greek poet Homer more than two millennia ago, continues to captivate modern audiences with its timeless themes and characters.

Universal Pictures, which is distributing the movie, announced in December that the film is a “mythic action epic filmed globally using the latest IMAX technology. This project marks the first time Homer’s epic has been brought to IMAX screens.”

The release date for “The Odyssey” is set for July 17, 2026. Nolan not only directs but also writes and produces the film. Emma Thomas, Nolan’s wife, joins him in production under their Syncopy production company.

The Bangin Beats exclusively revealed last month that part of Nolan’s “Odyssey” will be shot in Sicily, a location that figures in Odysseus’ legendary travels. Filming is expected to start this Spring on the Island of Favignana, also known as “goat island,” which is believed to be one of the actual sites depicted by Homer in his epic.

Goth is represented by WME, Curtis Brown, and Michael Auerbach (legal advisor).

She is also set to headline Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming “Frankenstein.”

Goth, renowned for her roles in the horror domain, has appeared in notable films such as “A Cure for Wellness,” Luca Guadagnino’s “Suspiria,” “Infinity Pool,” and Ti West’s “X” trilogy, which includes “MaXXXine,” “Pearl,” and the original “X.”
