The Close of “Saturday Night Live” Season 50
The 50th season of Saturday Night Live has been marked by extensive celebrations and is set to conclude on May 17. The final episode will be hosted by Scarlett Johansson with Bad Bunny performing as the musical guest. This will mark the third appearance for the acclaimed Puerto Rican rapper, singer, and songwriter on the show.
Prior to the season finale, Saturday Night Live will feature episodes with other prominent hosts and musical talents. On May 3, Quinta Brunson will take on the hosting duties with Benson Boone as the musical guest, marking Boone’s first appearance on the show. The following week, on May 10, Walton Goggins will host, with Arcade Fire returning for their sixth performance, their most recent being in 2022.
The season kicked off in September with Jean Smart as the host and Jelly Roll providing the musical entertainment. Throughout the season, the NBC show has seen a variety of stars such as Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, Charli XCX, Timothée Chalamet, and Lady Gaga grace the stage. Additionally, special events like SNL50: The Homecoming Concert and SNL50: The Anniversary Special were part of this landmark season.
Bad Bunny started off 2025 with the release of his new album Debí Tirar Más Fotos. He is also scheduled to perform a series of concerts in Puerto Rico during the summer.
