Bruce Springsteen Unveils Previously Unreleased Track from Abandoned Film Project
Bruce Springsteen has just dropped the inaugural track from the previously abandoned soundtrack for the never-produced movie Faithless. The track comes from a project that Springsteen began after wrapping up his 2005 Devils & Dust tour. This song is part of a larger collection titled Tracks II: The Lost Albums, set to be released on June 27. You can hear the main song from Faithless in the link provided below.
Springsteen described the collection as “a really unusual array of songs.” He noted that while some elements and characters might seem familiar, his primary focus was on crafting music that had an evocative atmospheric quality suitable for a film. The album contains 11 tracks, including four instrumentals. For most of the album, Springsteen performs alone, handling both vocals and instrumentation. The album was produced by Ron Aniello and features contributions from several of Springsteen’s touring companions from the E Street Band such as Soozie Tyrell, Lisa Lowell, Curtis King Jr., Michelle Moore, and Ada Dyer. Additionally, Patti Scialfa and Springsteen’s children, Evan and Sam, also make appearances.
