One of India’s finest electronic music producers, New Delhi-based act Kohra has cemented his spot as a true champion of the underground. And now fresh off releasing his stellar record ‘Maaya‘ on Sol Selectas earlier this year, the Qilla Records bossman has shared an ethereal remix of dream pop outfit Thathee‘s ‘Antidote‘.
A newly formed passion project between singer/songwriter Melyn McKay and producer Rick Batenburg, Thathee’s recently released single has been completely transformed into a hauntingly beautiful piece which washes over the original and instead, goes on set up something truly unique and breathtaking. Stepping away from his signature sound, Kohra’s ambient-influenced take on the original grabs the limelight as a slow-paced, nostalgic melody paired with Melyn’s atmospheric vocals captures the listener’s attention.
