It’s a general consensus that Eric Prydz is without a doubt one of the nicest guys in dance music. Always giving back to his fans one way or the other, the Swedish legend was recently approached by a fan suffering from Stage 4 cancer, who wanted to see him perform one last time.
While that couldn’t happen, as the fan passed away before the show’s date, Eric Prydz decided to turn the show into a fundraiser, with all the proceeds going to cancer research.
His battle and story have affected me deeply. Now more than ever I wish to play this event to raise money for his charity and honor his memory.
The fundraiser turned out to be quite the success, raising $60,000, Prydz confirmed on Twitter. And that’s not all. The ‘Opus‘ hitmaker honored James Lillo’s memory by debuting 4 new tracks at the show, with Prydz’s fans having named the IDs after James.
Thanks to all who bought tickets & donated for James. We raised $60K+ for Cancer Research Institute. I think we have all made a difference. pic.twitter.com/GMIFxsMHW3
