Sunburn Festival may have finally found its new home. The annual dance music festival which takes place in Goa every year was recently put on hold for its 2016 edition by the state government due to the heavy influx of tourists between their peak period of December 15 through January 15.

Now as per a recent report by national daily The Times Of India, the state of Maharashtra might be the newest venue to host Asia’s biggest dance music festival – “Maharashtra is ready to offer its organiser, Precept Live, all required clearances in the quickest possible time as part of its ‘ease of business’ policy.”

As part of the state government’s move to attract more such events, promote young talent and increases investment opportunities, Tourism secretary Valsa Nair Singh also talked about the state planning to set up an event and exhibition board that would invite such events and promote ‘convention tourism’. In a brief statement she said, “We are soon going to hold the first such convention”.

A massive step for the festival giant which might prove to be a major game changer, Percept Live tweeted earlier today which hinted at a possible official announcement on the horizon. Check out the tweet below and stay tuned for more!
