Will they or won’t they? That’s the question that has been bugging a majority of electronic music fans, ever since the rumours of Daft Punk going on tour in 2017 surfaced a couple of weeks back. After the rumours got shot down with an industry insider saying that the iconic duo had no plans of going on tour next year. However, the tour rumours just got a shot in the arm thanks to a cryptic website that has emerged online, which possibly does lend some credibility to the fact that we might see the robots next year, after all.
The website, Alive 2017, displays ‘ALIVE‘ on a black background, with a countdown timer hidden behind the I in ALIVE (zoom in to check it out). Further delving into the source code of the website, some Reddit users pointed out that the code contained the coordinates of Paris, London, Los Angeles, New York, Tokyo, Sao Paulo, Ibiza and Indio (the location of Coachella). The countdown timer runs out on 27th October, which possibly means an announcement could be in the waiting.

However, a number of Reddit users have also pointed out that the website is fake, and not related to Daft Punk at all.
