Guy J’s seminal sounds that have brought us some of the finest and cherish-able memories as dance music enthusiasts, now provide us enough motivation to announce him as our Artist Of The Month for September 2016.

It was at the age of 14 that learning the craft of music started for Guy, assembling a wealth of equipment and experience, as he dedicated his life to learning in his room that was rather called by his friends ‘the cave’. While being around 21, he managed get his first release but it was his 2007’s gem ‘Save Me’ that proved to be his real launchpad. What followed was a chain of events that transformed his life and Guy J’s melodic figures influenced by trance elements, warm vibe of progressive and energy of old school techno, started developing a soul and a prolific life of their own. Guy became a regular on legend John Digweed’s shimmering dramatic slice of deeper house side of Bedrock Records. He said, “It was like a dream coming true. I never knew it would lead me to having two albums on a label that I really grew up with.”
Talk about his highly successful albums “Esperanza” and “1000 Words” from the past or the offering from the last year “The Trees, The Sea & The Sun” on the mighty Bedrock Records, Guy has always managed to steal his fans’ hearts quickly and stick them along throughout. One of the highlighting mixes for Australia’s illustrious Balance Music series, Balance Presents Guy J is a perfect example of what to expect when he is behind the decks. His disregard for boundaries has catapulted his genre-diverse Lost & Found imprint into one of the most highly regarded labels in the underground fraternity – certainly a crown jewel of Guy’s portfolio.
