The electronic dance music industry has been hitting the purple patch successfully in the past year or two and 2015 was a pure testament to that considering how the artists and their musical showcase grabbed global attention and was finally recognized as a true competitor to the big daddy of all, Pop music.
And if the latest news is to be any sort of indication, then 2016 has kicked off on the the right note. Dirty Dutch pioneer DJ Chuckie has announced a promising partnership with leading record label Sony/ATV Music Publishing. The deal was signed at the Amsterdam headquarters of the office about which Niels Walboomers, managing director of Sony/ATV Music Publishing Benelux said,
“We’re very excited to welcome Chuckie into the Sony / ATV Music Publishing family. Chuckie is such an unique & hard working musical force for many years and an incredible DJ who also has a great sense for new talents. We look forward to collaborating with him and to celebrating many successful moments together. The future looks very promising.”
Chuckie also added on the landmark deal and shared his thoughts saying,
“I’m very excited that I’ve found a visionary partner who understands the journey I am on with my music. I look forward to making some magic with Niels and his team, it’s GO Season!”
With big things on the horizon for the legendary producer/DJ, we can’t wait for the results from Chuckie and Sony‘s exclusive association.
