One of the biggest anthems of this summer, ‘Higher Place‘ by the smashing Belgian duo, none other than Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike with the grammy-award-winning hip hop artist, Ne-Yo, has received a diverse remix pack, including one by the young talent from Italy, Angemi. By his tropical house edit of the previous banger by the duo with Ummet Ozcan, ‘The Hum‘, Angemi caught the attention of Smash The House bosses and was offered an opportunity to remix ‘Higher Place‘.
Angemi has been making quite an impression with his bootlegs in the styles of some of the top DJs and producers. His take on ‘Melody‘ by Oliver Heldens in three different styles by Hardwell, Jack U and Kygo is one of a couple of his experiments with different genres and styles. His diverse bootlegs of some of the most reputed tracks including tropical house, dubstep and progressive house styles, boast of his extraordinary production skills and it shows off in his latest dubstep remix of ‘Higher Place‘. Starting with some excellent piano work, the lyrics are unleashed and the track starts building with progressing hints of drums and synth hooks. With the occurrence of the vocal sample of “Show me to a higher place” the track drops with bouncy synth sounds over dubstep drum beats. Later in the track Angemi has also experimented with vocals by making them more electronic and robotic. The remix is a proof that fat kicks are not a necessity for a quality track.
The Angemi remix of ‘Higher Place‘ is out now on Armada Music under exclusive license from Smash The House and you can purchase it on iTunes from here. Check out the preview below!
