Mark your calendars ladies and gentlemen. The Emerge Festival is less than two weeks away and it promises to be absolutely splendid! How can we be so confident, you wonder? Well – we’ll give you ten reasons to count down days to the festival!
1. The Stage

Well, word is that the mainstage for the festival, along with some breathtaking installations, will be designed by none other than Shilo Shiv Suleman. Shilo is a blend of all things intriguing, with her interests lying in an overlap and ensured intersection of magic realism, art for social change and technology. One of the fascinating installations at Burning Man was her project ‘Pulse and Bloom,‘ which was “an interactive art installation that visualizes the heartbeats of participants with the hope of syncing human heartbeats in a rhythmic pattern.” Recognized for its ingenuity by BBC, Rolling Stone, MSNBC, Tech Crunch, The Guardian and WIRED among other international media, you can have a look at her work here and be dazzled by her vivid imagination!

2. Fabulous Illustrations

Allison Weeks Thomas is only one of the many artists who shall be contributing to the masterpieces we shall find at the festival! An American illustrator and writer, Allison is known for her quirky and unique work which have a touch of a fairy-tale innocence to them. You can see more of her work here.
Expect more stellar work from none other than London based Alex Griffiths who is renowned for his whimsical and witty works of art. The artist is recognized for creating ‘magical, thought inspiring worlds within his incredibly detailed illustrations.’ Other work we can expect to see include curated content from Cupick. Featuring artworks printed on large sunboards and flexes, both venues can expect a stall at the festival where they can find prints and t-shirts.

3. Bicycle Discount
A green initiative on behalf of the festival, Emerge shall reward all its visitors on bicycles with a 20% discount on tickets! This is a great way for the Festival to curb high traffic and pollution in the host areas. Make sure you grab a set of pedals and wheels for the festival!

4. SCRUMPTIOUS Food!

Small Fry Co is providing the grub. That’s right – it’s going to be a finger-licking good experience. A festival is incomplete without refreshments and Small Fry Co is sure to meet our expectations with some phenomenal curated food!

5. The Music

Alt- J will make its debut in India. The creator of some great tracks such as Matilda and Tessellate, the band comprises of three friends from Leeds and excels as a genre-defying act, receiving nominations for ‘Best Alternative Album‘ at The Grammys 2015 and ‘Best British Group‘ and ‘Best Album‘ at The BRIT Awards 2015, as well as selling out the 02 and Madison Square Garden.
Rudimental has established its name as a drum and bass group, their latest rendition being none other than Ed Sheeran‘s Bloodstream‘s.
