
The 57th Annual GRAMMY Awards had everyone stoked. One of the most prestigious awards in the field of music, winning them is a matter of great pride for any musician.
With dance music represented by the likes of Deadmau5, Mat Zo, Aphex Twin, Tiesto, Audien, Kaskade, Robin Schulz, Disclosure, ZHU amongst others, it is safe to say that dance music is having its presence felt all over the world in a much greater capacity than it ever was expected. And after the winners were announced, dance music indeed has left an even bigger mark on the Grammys.
Tiesto won the first Grammy of his career, after his remix of John Legend‘s ‘All of Me‘ beat off competition from the likes of Audien (Bastille – Pompei), Kaskade (Galantis – Smile), Robin Schulz (Mr. Probz – Waves), Eddie Amador (Five Knives – The Rising) and MING (Crossfingers – Falling Out), in the Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical category.

One of the most anticipated categories was the Best Dance/Electronic Album category, with the likes of Deadmau5, Mat Zo, Aphex Twin, Little Dragon and Rôyksopp & Robyn nominated for their albums. But it was Aphex Twin who took home the coveted trophy for the Best Dance/Electronic Album for his album Syro.

The category for Best Dance Recording had the likes of ZHU (Faded), Basement Jaxx (Never Say Never), Clean Bandit (Rather Be). Disclosure (F For You) and Duke Dumont (I Got U) nominated, and it was Clean Bandit, who took home the famed gramophone trophy.

In other categories, Sam Smith won 4 Grammy Awards, including Best Pop Vocal Album (for In The Lonely Hour), Record Of The Year, Song of the Year (both for Stay With Me) and Best New Artist.
